Mike Wood Mr. Michael ‘Mike’ Perry Wood, 56, of Washington, died February 27, 2013 at his home.A longtime resident of Wilkes County, he was the son of the late Delores Wood.Mike was also preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Helen Taylor Wood and a brother, Frankie Wood.He was an auto mechanic. A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 3rd at 4:00pm in the Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. W.C. Bentley officiating.Donald Coursey, Clarence Norman, Jr., Cynthia Evans, Ellis Thornton, Jonathan Russell and Kaitlyn Tate will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include one brother, David Wood of Tignall; sisters in law, Linda Coursey and her husband, Donald of Washington and Barbara Carlisle, of Washington; and three nieces. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4-6PM at the funeral home.
