Michael Scott Yancey

Mr. Michael Scott Yancey, 50, of 725 Lexington Rd., in Washington, died Tuesday evening, November 15, 2016, at his home. Mr. Yancey was born in Lawrenceville, and had lived in Washington for the past 15 years. He was the husband of Angela Short Yancey, and the son of Jerry and Patricia White Yancey.He was a retired baseball umpire. Mr. Yancey is survived by his wife, Angela S. Yancey, of Washington; three sons, Hunter Yancey(Taylor), of Bethlehem, Ray Gross, of Jacksonville, FL, and Troy Yancey, of Washington; one daughter, Taylor Yancey Earles(John), of Monroe; two grandchildren, Kenneth Fisher Yancey and Noah James Earles;two sisters, Amanda Y. Reed(Stacy), Loganville, and Cassandra Y. Kelley(Scott), of Monroe; one brother, Shane Yancey(Julie), Loganville; and by his father &mother-in-law, Richard and Frances Short, Newport, KY. Memorial services will be celebrated at 1:30pm Friday, November 18, 2016, at Hopkins Funeral Home.
