Michael R. Webb

Mr. Michael Raymond Webb, 74, of Sheffield Lane in Washington, entered into rest Thursday January 7, 2021, at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville. Mr. Webb was born in Galesburg, Ill., was the son of the late Harold and Margaret ‘Mae’ Pickens Webb, and husband of Louise Johnson Webb. Mike had worked as an installer for Wilkes Telephone for a number of years.He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War.Mike was an easy going guy with many friends, was liked by all, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Louise J. Webb, of Washington; two daughters, Jeana Webb, of Columbus, Missouri, and Denise S. Sickman (Karl), of Griffin, Ga.; two sons, Brandon Webb, of Washington, and David Slaton(Hope), of Tignall; twelve grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren; and was preceded in death by a son, Jon Michael Webb. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, January 10, 2021, from 6-8pm at Hopkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 Monday, January 11, 2021, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tripp Goodwin officiating.Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Karl Sickman, Logan Meck, Shane Lamar, Kenny Roberson, Zach Dunn, and Gene Land, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
