Michael James Carroll

Mr. Michael James Carroll, 61, of Washington, entered into rest on Friday, August 11, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.

Mr. Carroll was born to parents Sandra Carr Lewis and the late James Carroll, on December 30, 1961 in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating high school he served in the Navy for a number of years. He was a roofer and worked in the construction business. Mr Carroll was a member of Newtown Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sarah B. Carroll of Washington; his son, Matthew James Carroll, of Washington, and by two daughters, Ruth Ann Carroll and Sandra Marie Carroll, also of Washington; his mother, Sandra Carr Lewis; one sister, Terry Ann Carroll; two brothers, Jim Carroll, of Dayton, Florida and Dennis Carroll, of South Carolina.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, James Carroll.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at The Chapel of Hopkins Funeral Home. Officiating will be Karl Neubaum. The family will receive friends at Hopkins Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service (from 10am-11am).
