Melvin Michael Garrett

Melvin Michael Garrett, 77, of Crawfordville, entered into rest on January 16, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Garrett was born in Blairsville, Ga., to D.L. and Louise Barnes Garrett, and was the husband of the late Barbara Ann Dunagan Garrett.  He was a tree surgeon, and owned his own business, A Doraville Tree Service that he started in 1978.  He served in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Randolph and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Garrett, and Todd Garrett, both of Atlanta.

A memorial service is to take place in Atlanta at a future date.
