Mrs. Mary Evelyn Wolfe Turner, 86, died Saturday, September 3, 2011, at the home of her son. Mrs. Turner was born in Tignall and was the daughter of the late Jesse Lee Wolfe and Fannie Woods Wolfe.She was the widow of Mr. H. L. “Boney” Turner, Jr. and was a member of the Fishing Creek Baptist Church.She had worked at Royal Manufacturing Co. as a seamstress for over 40 years.She also worked at Wilkes Health Care another 20 years caring for their residents.Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, H. L. “Boney” Turner, Jr., herson, Robert Turner,a granddaughter, Edie Turner and a grandson, Kenneth Turner. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at 2:00 at the Fishing Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Cates and Rev. Ficklen Guinn officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery, She is survived by her son, Charles Turner, and wife Gail, of Washington; four brothers, George Wolfe, Bob Wolfe, Jerry Wolfe, and Jack Wolfe, all of Milledgeville;one sister, Virginia Wolfe, of Milledgeville;five grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 till the time of the service at Fishing Creek Baptist Church.
