Marvin Luke Stevens obit Mr. Marvin Luke Stevens, 69,of Washington, died Tuesday morning, December 1, 2015, at his home. Mr. Stevens was born in Washington, and had lived here all of his life.He was the son of the late M. L. Stevens and Myrtice Wolfe Stevens. He was a tool maker and had been a machine tool instructor at Athens Tech.He was a former member of the Washington Chapel. Graveside services will be 4:00pm Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at Resthaven Cemetery with Peter Hoffman and Pastor Chris King officiating.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30pm until 3:30pm on Wednesday. Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife, Joyce C. Stevens, of the home; two daughters, Tesi S. Standard (Bobby), of Washington, and Lisa S. Bentley (Dee), of Lincolnton; one son, Greg Stevens, (Kristin), of Clyde, NC; and five grandchildren, Adam Standard, Brooke Standard, Hailee Stevens, Brynnlee Bentley, and Tucker Bentley.
