Martha Wells

Mrs. Martha Carlyon Wells, 94, of Washington, died December 27, 2010, in Harpers Assisted Living.She was a native of Washington, Georgia, the daughter of the late Thomas Bradshaw and Emmie Cliatt Carlyon.She was a retired seamstress and a member of Washington First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 3pm in the Washington First Baptist Church with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating.Interment will follow in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Madden officiating.Grandsons, Thomas Carlyon Wells, Jr., Kerry Herndon, Brad Wells, Benji Wells, Marshall Wells and Carroll Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Tom and Melanie Wells, of Washington; one sister and brother in law, Emily and Marvin Boatwright, of Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren, Thomas Carlyon Wells, Jr, Angie Herndon, Brad Wells, Benji Wells, Marshall Wells, Chryse Johnson and Mike Wells; nine great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at First Baptist Church.
