Martha Guin Danburg:Mrs. Martha Belle Hinton Guin, 95, died Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Guin was born in Oconee County and had lived in Danburg all of her life.She was the widow of Boyce Ficklen Guin, Sr., and the daughter of the late Roderick Hinton and Belle Brooks Hinton.She was a homemaker and was a member of the Fishing Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 31, 2010, at 4:00 pm at the Fishing Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Cates and Rev. W.C. Bentley officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.Active deacons at Fishing Creek Baptist Church will serve as active pallbearers, and inactive deacons will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Guin is survived by three sons, Ficklen (Maudine) Guin, of Lincolnton, Roddie (Rebecca) Guin, of Calabash, NC, and Bob (Belle) Guin, of Washington; two daughters, Carol (Richard) Hoffman, N. Myrtle Beach, NC, and Dee Morgan, of Asheville, NC; a daughter-in-law, Linda Guin, of Danburg, and a son-in-law, Terrell (Janet) Blackmon, of Lincolnton; 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Blackmon, and by a son, Terry Guin. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7-9 pm at Hopkins Funeral Home.
