Marjorie E. Tyler Washington:Marjorie Elizabeth Echols Tyler, 89, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, at the Pruitt Nursing Facility. Mrs. Tyler was born in Philomath, and had lived in Wilkes County all of her life.She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Tolbert Echols and Frances Elizabeth Walker Echols.She was the widow of James E. Tyler, and was the chief bookkeeper at Wills Memorial Hospital for a number of years.She was a member of the Pilot Club and of the Woodmen of the World.She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Washington, and a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 11:00a.m. at the Washington First United Methodist Church.Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Tyler, Alex Tyler, David Tyler, Doug Tyler, Blaine Tyler, and Mike Fernandez. Mrs. Tyler is survived by one son, Larry Tyler (Beth), of Sandy Springs; one brother, Elliott Echols, White Sulphur Springs, W.V.; four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
