Marian Remsen

Mrs. Marian Echols Remsen, 72, of Vesta, died April 12, 2009 in St. Mary’s Hospital. She was a native of Oglethorpe County and the daughter of the late Ben Thomas and Laura Winona Franklin Echols.She was a retired hairdresser and a member of County Line Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00am in County Line Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Bruce officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.Buck Echols, Bobby Walker, Sidney Walker, Billy Walker, Douglas Armour and Johnny Walker will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include one daughter, Sonja (Gerald) Thompson, of Vesta, and one son, Tony Quave. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8pm at Hopkins Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to County Line Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Hopkins Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Marian Echols Remsen of Vesta.
