Marguerite Moss Thornton

Mrs. Marguerite Moss Thornton, 79, of Washington died April 10, 2012.A native of Camak, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Sadie McKinney Moss.Mrs. Thornton was retired from SCT Yarns and was a member of Lincolnton Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas “J.T.” Thornton. Graveside services will be Thursday at 5:00pm in Washington-Wilkes Memorial Gardens with REv. Gale Seibert officiating.Virgil Steve Hendricks, Steve Moss, Lewis Moss, Lewis Gosnell, Kenneth Thornton and Mike Thornton will serve as pallbearers. She is survived by daughter, Janet Thornton; son and daughter in law, David and Diane Thornton; grandchildren, TammyBryngelson and her husband Mark, Kevin Thornton; and one great grandchild, Mark Bryngelson, Jr. all of Washington. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital Fund.
