Margaret Katrina Smith Jones

Mrs. Margaret Katrina Smith Jones, 91, formerly of Powder Springs, died Saturday morning, March 17, 2018, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Ms. Jones was born in Washington, Ga., and was the daughter of the late John Wylie Smith and Agnes Warr Smith.She was the widow of James W. Jones, and was a retired shipping inspector for Boyle Midway. Ms. Jones is survived by her son, Dennis Jones (Terri), of Acworth; one brother, Edward Smith (June), of Washington; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Smith, Washington; a daughter-in-law, Nita Jones, of Statham; three grandchildren, Craig Jones(Debbie), Jason Jones, and Jenny J. Veal(Todd); four great grandchildren, Zachary Jones, Logan Jones, McKenzie Jones, and Nolan Veal.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Daryl Jones; two brothers, William (Bill) Smith and J.R. Smith, and two sisters, Martha S. Anthony and Lucy S. Chafin. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Hopkins Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
