Margaret Samuel Fortson

Margaret S. Fortson Mrs. Margaret Samuel Fortson, 85, of Tignall, died Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Country Manor Personal Care Home. Mrs. Fortson was born in Wilkes County, lived in Chattanooga, TN for 39 years, and retired from the First Federal Savings and Loan in Chattanooga. She was the daughter of the late Peyton E. Samuel and Emma LeRoy Samuel.She was the widow of Edwin J. Fortson, and was a member of the Tignall Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at 1:00 pm at the Tignall Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Reviere and Rev. Albert Huyck officiating. Interment will follow in the Tignall Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Fortson is survived by a number of cousins and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Hopkins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tignall Baptist Cemetery Fund.
