Marcus Denard Mr. Marcus Odian Denard, 37, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away February 26, 2013.Marcus was a native of Washington, Georgia.He attended the Wilkes Academy and after graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Criminal Justice in 1999, he worked with the city of Washington Police. After his marriage to Jamie L. Price in 2003, the couple relocated to Columbia, South Carolina.Marcus was employed with the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services.He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity.He was a charter member of the Washington Wilkes Sons of the American Revolution and a member of the Lafayette Lodge #23 F&AM Masonic Lodge, Washington, GA. His grandmothers, Mary Possie Danner Denard and Ann Walton Allen Stewart and grandfather Doug Allen preceded Mr. Denard in death.Marcus is survived by his wife, Jamie Price Denard, twins, Kari Anne and Price Odian Denard; his father, Odian David Denard, and his wife, Debra;mother, Karen Allen Pruitt and her husband, Patrick; brothers, Matthew David and Thomas Adolph Denard; paternal grandfather, Odian Adolph Denard, Jr. and his wife, Jerry; a nephew, Austin Denard; uncle and aunt, Dan and Nita Allen; father and mother-in-law, James O. and Judy Price; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3rd from 1:00 to 2:30pm at the Hopkins Funeral Home in Washington, Georgia.A graveside service with Rev. Roy Cates officiating and Final Masonic Rites will be held in the Fishing Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00pm. Michael Seymour, Leonard Danner, Jess Reynolds, Barry Denard, Rob O'Shields, Chris Gillispi and Shane Allen will serve as pallbearers.
