Mamie Cason Mrs. Mamie Ruth “Trixie” Nash Cason, 89, died March 7, 2011 at MCG.She was a native of Wilkes County, the daughter of the late James C and Ruth Edward Bentley Nash and the widow of Rollin Augustus “Gus” Cason.Mrs. Cason graduated from Athens Business College and worked as abookkeeper for the Agricultural Soil Conservation Services and a member of County Line Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carla Elizabeth (Mrs. Brooks) Thaxton Brown. Graveside services will be Friday, March 11th at 11:00am in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Ficklen Guin officiating. Survivors include granddaughter, Charlotte Welch and her husband, Bob of Rayle; great grandchildren, Joshua, Tabatha and Bobbie Welch, of Rayle; daughter and son in law, Fran and Tommy Thaxton, of Rayle. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
