Mrs. Maggie Sherrer Buff, 86, of Bartram Trace Rd., died Friday morning, December 16, 2016, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Buff was born in Wilkes County and had lived here all of her life.She was the daughter of the late Glover and Daisy Tewell Sherrer, and was the widow of Jim Wesley Buff.She was a homemaker and was a member of the Carters Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Buff Newsome, of Washington, Charlene Buff Cobb (Rodney), of Farmington, and Joyce Buff Smith (David), of Rayle; one son, Jake Buff (Linda), of Rayle; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Hopkins Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Newsome officiating.Burial will follow at the Carters Grove Baptist Church Cemetery,The family will receive friends Saturday, December 17, 2016, from 6:00-8:00 pmat Hopkins Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Daniel Standard, Travis Newsome, Warren Newsome, Rodney Cobb, Hunter Newsome, and Wesley Chambers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Association.
