Mable M. Edwards

Mrs. Mable Moore Edwards, 90, of Walnut St., died Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Moore was born in Sharon, GA, and had lived in Wilkes County for most of her life.She was the daughter of the late William H. and Mary Bramlett Edwards, and was the widow of Glenn Edwards. She was a retired seamstress at Royal Manufacturing Co., and was a member of the Washington First Baptist Church.She was also preceded in death by her son, Wayne Edwards. She is survived by two nieces, Caroline Moore Weber (Wade), of Washington, and Luanna Moore Carter (Greg), of Pisgah Forest, NC; two nephews, David W. Moore (Liz), of Thomson, and G. W. (Chuck) Moore, Jr. (Linda), of Bishop; 2 great nieces, and 4 great nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Saturday, December 17, 2016, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel.The family will receive friends on Saturday at Hopkins Funeral Home for one hour prior to the service (2:00 – 3:00pm). Pallbearers will be David Moore, Chuck Moore, Wade Weber, Greg Carter, Andy Edwards, and Benji Edwards.
