Mabel Smith

Miss Mabel Smith, 92, of N. Pope St. in Tignall, died Saturday morning at the Tignall House Assisted Living Facility. Miss Smith was born in Tignall, and had lived there for most of her life.She was the daughter of the late Edgar Lamar Smith and Leona Albea Smith.She was a retired Schoolteacher, and was a Home Economics teacher in the Paulding County school system.She was a member of the Tignall Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Smith Moore. Graveside services will be 11:00am Monday, March 21, 2016, at the Tignall Independence UMC with Rev. Chris King and Rev. Clyde Davis officiating. She is survived by six first cousins, and by a number of other cousins. Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
