Lucy T Williamson

Mrs. Lucy Thornton Williamson, 89, of Washington, died January 24, 2011 in Heritage Healthcare of Wilkes.She was a native of Metasville, the daughter of the late Charlie Bell and Lora Jane Wheatley Thornton.Mrs. Williamson was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Washington. Graveside services will be Friday, at 11am in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating.Matt Williamson, John Finney, Bill Hunt, Thomas Mayo, Jake Dees, Robbie Turner will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include her husband of sixty seven years, J.W. Williamson; son and daughter in law, Wayne and Sharon Williamson, Washington; daughters and sons in law, Lorene and Lawrence Mayo, Norwood and Kay and Louis Finney, Washington; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; sister, Margaret Myers, Washington; sisters in law, Betty Thornton and Virginia Todd. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
