Lounelle Lindsey Austin

Mrs. Lounelle Lindsey Austin, 90, of Washington, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 in Wills Memorial Hospital.Mrs. Austin had been a resident of Echols Personal Care Home in Rayle since November of 2011. A native of Danburg, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Rosalee Thurmond Lindsey.She was a retired Bookkeeper for A & P Tea Company.Mrs. Austin was the widow of Samuel Austin and was also preceded in death by two children, Maxine Carter and Thomas M. Meeks; and three grandchildren, Lindsey Grantham, Troy Osborne and Kerry Grantham. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 21st at 2:00pm in Fishing Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Cates officiating.Interment of the cremains will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include daughters and son in law, Dale Meeks, Washington and Madonna and Eddy Williams, Metasville; Step Daughter, Louise Beam, Middleburg, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Grantham, of Macon, Angel (Danny) Jeffries, of Zebulon, Michael Osborne, Washington, Melissa (Joe) Wieder, of Raleigh, N.C. and Thomas (Sharon) Meeks, of Macon; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Fishing Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
