Lonnie Boyce Fortson

Mr. Lonnie Boyce Fortson,68, of Tignall, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Candler County Hospital in Metter, Ga. Mr. Fortson was born in Washington, Ga. to Boyce and Susie Inez Stamey Fortson, and was a retired mechanic at Clark-Schwebel Fiberglass.He was the husband of Margaret Labell Bryant Fortson, and was a member of the Fishing Creek Baptist Church. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Margaret B. Fortson, of Tignall; one son, Adam Fortson, and wife Meghan; two sisters, Barbara F. McAvoy, and husband Barry, and Joyce F. Sifre; and three grandchildren, Adam Fortson, Jr., Edee Fortson, and Everlee Fortson.He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Fortson. Memorial services will be 11:00am Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Fishing Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Barry McAvoy officiating.
