Mrs. Lois T. Holsenback, 72, of Boyce Guin Rd., passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020, at her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Holsenback was born in Lyons, Ga., and had lived in Wilkes County most of her life.She was the daughter of William Frank Turner, Sr. and Myrtis Smith Turner, and was the wife of Henry Holsenback, Sr.She worked at Milliken Textile for a number of years, and was a member of the Fishing Creek Baptist Church, which she dearly loved. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brother, William Frank Turner, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Henry Holsenback, Sr., of Tignall; one son, Henry Holsenback, Jr., and wife Lynne, of Elberton; one sister, Shirley T. Burgess, of Lincolnton; and two grandchildren, Ryan Holsenback and Kayla Holsenback; and by a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, August 16, 2020, at the Fishing Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Cates and Rev. Barry McAvoy officiating.Active pallbearers will be William George, Oakley Safrit, Natham Durhan, Levi Durham, Ryan Holsenback, Wayne Smith, and Jacob Rodriguez.Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of the Fishing Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday evening, August 15, 2020, from 6-8pm at Hopkins Funeral Home. Masks will be required for visitation on Saturday AND at the church on Sunday, while social distancing as best you can.
