Linda Crowley Smith

Mrs. Linda Crowley Smith, 81, of Upton Mill Dr. in Washington, entered into rest Monday evening, March 28, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens. Mrs. Smith was born in Athens and was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen Farr Crowley.She and husband Bill had lived in Washington since 1973.Bill and Linda owned and operated the FINA service station and Washington Gas & Oil, Inc. for nearly 35 years, and Linda was the bookkeeper for both businesses.She was a longtime member of the Washington First United Methodist Church.She was well known and loved by the community, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 59 years,William M. “Bill” Smith, daughter Shelley S. Warrenfells, and grandson Logan Warrenfells, all of Washington. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00am Friday, April 1, 2022, at the Washington First United Methodist Church with Rev. Liza Marler officiating. There will be a visitation Thursday evening, March 31, 2022, from 6-8pm at Hopkins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington First United Methodist Church, P.O.
