Lillie Crawford

Ms. Lillie Mae Jackson Crawford, 81, of the Metasville Rd., died Tuesday morning, November 8, 2016, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Ms. Crawford was born in Wilkes County, and had lived here most of her life.She was the daughter of the late Robert O. Jackson and Annie Kate Powell Jackson.She was a retired nurse, having worked a number of years at Wills Memorial Hospital, and also worked with Care South.She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Ms. Crawford is survived by two daughters, Cindy C. Myers, of Lexington, SC, and Donna C. Charping(Thomas), of Washington; one son, John David Crawford, Greensboro; four sisters, Mary Vandiver, of Washington, Josephine Crawford (Melvin),of Rayle, Florence McCorkle (G. C.) of Thomson, and Faye Saggus, of Lincolnton; two brothers, Bobby Jackson (Martha), of Augusta, and Johnny Frank Jackson, of Washington; nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 3:00pm Thursday, November 10, 2016, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church.Visitation will also be Thursday at Ebenezer from 2:00pm until the time of the service. Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
