Lillie Kathryn Clemmons

Mrs. Kathryn Taylor Clemmons, 71, of Crawfordville, died May 29, 2009 in Wills Memorial Hospital.She was a native of Taliaferro County, the daughter of the late Emmett A. and Samantha Combs Taylor.Mrs. Clemmons was a member of Crawfordville Presbyterian Church and a retired grocery store proprietor.Her husband, George L. Clemmons preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00pm in Crawfordville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Todd Clifton officiating.Interment will follow in the Crawfordville Baptist Church Cemetery.Bobby Moore, Madison Taylor, Jr., Doug Dauler, Stan Jackson, Joe Clemmons and Ralph Hoke Flynt will serve as pallbearers.Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Charles Edwards, Charles Greene, Charles Ware, Charlie Cullars, Eldon Lewis and Wayne Taylor. Survivors include one son and daughter in law, John and Lisa Clemmons, Crawfordville; one daughter and son in law, Kay and Lloyd Kelley, Crawfordville; one brother, Madison C. Taylor, Crawfordville; five grandchildren, John Clemmons, Jr., Kristy Kelley, Nicholas Clemmons, Nina Clemmons and Joyce Clemmons. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5-7pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Crawfordville Presbyterian Church.
