Lila H Edwards

Mrs. Mary Lila Hardy Edwards, 85, of Washington, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Quiet Oaks Nursing Home.A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna Liza Taylor Hardy.She was the widow of Emmett “Dock” Edwards. Mrs. Edwards was co-proprietor with her husband of Edwards Nursery and Landscaping.She was a member of First Baptist Church, Washington. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 19th at 11:00a.m. in First Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Madden and Rev. Albert Huyck officiating.Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Survivors include daughter and son in law, M\Linda and Mike Martin, Colbert, GA; sister, Ann Palmer, Washington; her ‘adopted grandchildren’ Andrew and Thacher Meech; caregivers, Olivia Walton, Laura Eberhardt and Emma Jones; and her beloved dog, Fritz. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7-9pm.
