Laura Dawn Shedd

Mrs. Laura Dawn Orr Shedd, 49, of Walker Rd. in Rayle, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta. Laura was born in Richmond County (Ft. Gordon).She was the daughter of Linda Orr Phillips and of the late Robert Lewis, and was the wife of Darryl Shedd.She was employed at Advance Auto in Washington.Laura so loved her family, and loved being a homemaker. She was a natural caregiver, loved her Georgia Bulldogs, and loved to cook.She was a member of the County Line Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Darryl Shedd, of Rayle; one daughter, Sara Blackmon, of Thomson; one son, Michael Orr, of Rayle; and four grandchildren,Hadlie Orr, Madison Orr, Makena Burns, and Kinsley Blackmon. Memorial services will be 2:00pm Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, at the County Line Baptist Church with Rev. Clark Ivey officiating.The service is PRIVATE-IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY-and masks, along with social distancing, will be required. Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
