Laura Hester

Mrs. Laura Colbert Hester, 83, of Washington, died July 31, 2009.She was a native of Oglethorpe County, but lived in Wilkes county most of her life.She was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Mamie Huff Colbert.Mrs. Hester was a homemaker and member of Sardis Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Steed Hester. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 2, 2009, at 4pmin Hopkins Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Danner officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2pm until service time on Sunday.
