Larry Thomas Nunn

Mr. Larry Thomas Nunn, 69 of Crawfordville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday May 6, 2020. He was the son of the late Willie Crawford and Etta Mae Roth Nunn. He was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church. Larry faithfully attended Robinson Baptist Church for many years under the leadership of Rev. Mark Yearwood, whom he had much respect for. Larry always had a passion for the dairy business; he started milking at the age of twelve, he later drove for Pet Milk and he then fulfilled his dream of starting his own dairy business. In 1986 Larry made the career move to public servant and proudly served 18 years as Chief of Police for the City of Crawfordville. Larry enjoyed spending time with family, good food, telling jokes and a good western. He also had a love for horses and mules. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Willie C. Nunn Jr., brother-in-law Joseph Griffin and son-in-law Garry Stewart Sr. Larry leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 20 years Veronica L. Nunn, daughters Cecelia Stevenson (Jonny), of Grovetown, and Bohdra Stewart, of Crawfordville; sisters Pamela (Newton) Gunter, Brenda Harrison and Jewell Griffin, all of Washington; a sister-in-law Elaine Nunn; grandchildren: Cody Franklin (Sierra), Dustin (Brittany) Franklin and Shannon Stewart; great grandchildren: Levi Langer, Desmond Alexander and Olivia Franklin and one great grandson due in September; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. A Private Outdoor Celebration of Life will be held 11:00AM Thursday, May 14, 2020, on the grounds ofRobinson Baptist Church in Crawfordville (Robinson Baptist Church, 3083 Robinson Church Rd., Crawfordville, GA30669).Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
