Larry Jasper Chapman

Larry Chapman Mr. Larry Jasper Chapman, 52, of Washington, died October 3, 2008.He was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late, Hurschel T. Chapman and the late, Mattie Sturdivant Chapman.Mr. Chapman was a lead lineman for Rayle EMC, a volunteer Firefighter, a volunteer Sheriff’s Deputy, a 4-H and FFA volunteer and a little league softball coach and he was a member of Washington Chapel. Graveside services will be Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 3:00pm in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Ghann and Rev. Chris Townsend officiating.John Echols, Darrell Rogers, Jerry Hackney, John Moon, Greg Denard and Mike Sisson will serve as pallbearers.The Washington Fire Department, Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department and employees of Rayle EMC will serve as honorary pallbearers. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Goldman Chapman; daughter, Audra Chapman; son, Jason Chapman, all of Washington;brother, Ron Chapman and his wife, Karen of Lewiston, Texas and several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
