Kyle Lewis Standard

Kyle Lewis Standard, 18, of N. Elijah Clark Dr., died Sunday morning in Jasper County. Mr. Standard was born in Athens, GA, but had lived in Washington all of his life.He was the son of Sandra Cook Standard and of the late Robert Douglas Standard, Sr.He graduated from Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School where he was a member of the FFA, was attending Augusta Tech, and attended the Washington First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be 4:00pm Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Hall officiating. Pallbearers will be John Whittingslow III, Daniel Whittingslow, Gavin Garrett, Hunter Futch, Kyle Gunter and Peyton Lanier. Honorary Pallbearers will be the WWCHS Class of 2015. Mr. Standard is survived by his mother, Sandra Cook Standard, of Washington; one brother, Robert Douglas Standard, Jr., of Washington; maternal grandparents, Lewis and Ann Taylor Cook, of Washington; his aunt and uncle, Susan Whittingslow, and husband John,of Atlantic Beach, FL; and by cousins, Cathryn, Chris, Ayden, and Reagan Eagle, Ponte Vedra, FL, and Taylor Curington, of Atlantic Beach, Fl. The family respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wilkes Co. FFA in care of Eric Holton, 1182 Tignall, and Rd. Washington, GA 30673.
