Kristy Thurmond Chavis

Ms. Kristy Thurmond Chavis, 47, of Jackson St. in Tignall, entered into rest Friday evening at the Augusta University Medical Center. Ms. Chavis was born in Washington on September 25, 1973.She was the daughter of the late Alex and Sherry Wilkerson Thurmond.She was a homemaker, and graduated from Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School. She is survived by her daughter, Katelyn Michelle Hubbard, of Rayle; one brother, Jody Thurmond, and wife Angelia, of Toccoa; her significant other, Jon-Paul Williamson, of Tignall; one niece, Lera Thurmond; and one nephew, Canaan Thurmond. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Casper officiating. Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge.
