Kristy Lynn Booth

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kristy Lynn Booth, a beloved daughter, partner, sister, aunt and friend. Kristy was born on May 16, 1980, in Washington, Georgia. Kristy passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the age of 44.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 21, 2025, in the Chapel of Hopkins Funeral Home. The family welcomes friends to gather an hour prior to the service. Rev. Jim Newsome will be officiating the service.

Kristy is survived by her devoted mother, Ruby Booth, of Rayle, Georgia, her loving partner, Sherman Blackmon of Washington, GA, and her cherished sister, Crystal Byrom, along with her husband Robert of Commerce, GA. She was a proud and dedicated aunt to her two nephews, Christian and Joseph Byrom, who brought immense joy to her life. Additionally, her loyal fur baby companions, Blaze and Deva, were always by her side. Kristy's memory will continue to be celebrated by numerous family members and friends who were touched by her warm heart and infectious spirit.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Este Booth, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Kristy was a member of the Rock United Methodist Church in Rayle. Her passion for life was best expressed in her love for the beach and the Georgia Bulldogs, a devotion that was second only to her affection for her cherished dogs and nephews.

Kristy’s kindness, enthusiasm, and love will be dearly missed, leaving an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew her.
