Kenneth Lamar Burke

Mr. Kenneth Lamar Burke, 65, of Franklin Ave. in Washington, entered into rest Sunday morning. September 5, 2021, at his home. Kenneth was born in Augusta and had lived in Washington for all of his life.He was the son of the late Mr. Ace David Burke, Jr. and Leona Elliott Burke.He had worked as an auto mechanic for most of his working life.Kenneth enjoyed the simple life, and was a fiercely loyal friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his sister, Fi Fi B. Harris, and husband David, of Washington; two daughters, Jennifer Thompson (Michael) and Tabitha Bailey (Brian); eight grandchildren, Matthew, Dalton, Kristopher, Mikey, Alalna, Macie, Brantley and Jacob; one nephew, Craig Mauldin; very special friend, Heather Kowalczyk and was preceded in death by his brother, Ace David Burke III. Graveside services will be 3:00pm Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Randy Dunnaway officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
