Miss Kellie Edwards Sutton, 56, of Mobile, Ala., entered into rest Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica.
Kellie was born in Mobile, Ala., and had lived there all of her life. She was the daughter of Bunnie Edwards McDaniel and Shelby Sutton. Kellie was of the Baptist faith.
Kellie attended the University of Mobile and the University of South Alabama, and earned a B.S. in Nursing. She had a nurturing and caring spirit, which made her career choice a perfect fit for her. She was the president of Care Management at the hospital where she was employed, and a member of the Alabama Nurse’s Association. Kellie was a huge animal lover and rescuer of homeless dogs. In her lifetime, she was responsible for caring for and even saving many lives at her profession, and NEVER turned away a stray animal. Helping and caring for humanity as well as animals was definitely “her thing”.
Miss Sutton is survived by her fiance, Anthony Kovalsky; her mother, Bunnie McDaniel, and her husband, Dr. Huey McDaniel, of Mobile, Ala.; her father, Shelby Sutton, of Everett, Washington; two sisters, Katherine Roberts, and husband Lee, of Thomson, Ga., and Kimberly McCoy, and husband Doug, of Mobile, Ala.; two nieces, Chamblin Baird and Campbell Baird; and two nephews, William Roberts, and wife Hailey, and Sutton Roberts.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the Sandy Cross Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Lee Roberts officiating.
Hopkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Kellie Edwards Sutton.
