Karen Walling

Mrs. Karen Walling, 80, of Washington, Ga. passed away August 19, 2014 at her home.A native of Galax, Virginia, she was the daughter of the lateColonel Wayne and Alma Geneva Hawks Brannock.Mrs. Walling was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where she managed the Raysville Campground.Her husband, Charlie Walling preceded her in death.She waspreceded in death by her husband, Charlie Walling, three children, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by eight children, Phyllis Dothette, of Florida, Michael Patterson, of Richmond, Ind., Debbie Fields, Richmond, IN,Vicki Fields, Richmond, IN, Karen Spurlock, Cape Coral, FL, Linda Spurlock, Latonia, KY, Valeri Wadley and her husband, David, of Clinton, UT, and Bobby Young and his wife, Christine, of Washington, GA, a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her dog Buffy. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Richmond, Indiana.
