John Vince Waters, Jr. A celebration of the life of John Vince “J.V.” Waters, Jr., 74, of Orangeburg SC, will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 16, at Washington Presbyterian Church.He died on January 9, 2016. Mr. Waters was born on March 17, 1941, in Washington to the late John Vince Waters and the late Beatrice Darracott Waters.He attended Furman University and served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1964. After many years, he retired from Site Prep of North Carolina. He was an avid golfer and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Evelyn Clark Waters; a son, John Vince “Jay” Waters III; two sisters, Elsie W. Arnold and Catherine W. Hill; and an uncle, Garland Darracott.He was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Guillebeau. Memorials may be made to the Cornelia Johnson Circle, to the Washington First United Methodist Church for the Wilkes County Cancer Relief Fund, to the American Cancer Society, or to the charity of your choice.
