Mrs. June Denard Baston, 74, of Cloverhurst Dr., died Monday morning, February 6, 2017, at Wills Memorial Hospital. June was born in Washington, and was the daughter of the late Odian Adolph Denard and Amanda Mae Matthews Denard. She was the wife of James Addison Baston, Jr.They had been married for 55 years.She was a retired Executive Vice President of First Union Bank in Washington, and then became office manager at Paper Pak in Washington for a number of years.She was a sister of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, ETA Omicron Chapter.She was a member of the Washington First United Methodist Church, and was known for her fierce love of family, as well as friends. She is survived by her husband, James A. Baston, Jr., of Washington; one daughter, MeLisa B. Clay (Greg), of Macon; one son, James A. Baston III (Heather), of Washington; three brothers,O. A. Denard, Jr. (Jerry), of Washington, Darden Denard (Louise), Tignall, and Robert Ray Denard, of Gray;three sisters, Sybil D. Walton, of Hoschton, Barbara D. Kesler, of Ormond Beach, FL, and Katrina D. Weber (Carl), of Washington; four grandchildren, Ashley Clay Smith (Tanner), Abby Clay, Addison Baston, and Avery Baston; and by a number of nieces and nephews, and her many special and loyal friends. Memorialservices will be 2:00pm Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at theWashington First United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Hall officiating.The family will receive friends Wednesday at the Church for one hour prior to the service (1;00 until 2:00).
