Julia Callaway Poss

Mrs. Julia Nell Callaway Poss, 93, of Washington, passed away Monday September 1, 2014 at her home. A native of the Carter’s Grove Community in Taliaferro County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Mell and Mattie Blount Callaway.She and her late husband, Virgil Poss, owned and operated Poss Ace Hardware.Mrs. Poss was a member of First Baptist Church of Washington. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am in Carter’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Madden officiating. Survivors include very special friends, Tommy Garrett, Barry and Julia Anne Holloway, Ashlyn and Alyssa Holley, all of Washington and several cousins. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
