Mrs. Juanita Rhodes Edwards Riley, 89, of Washington, Georgia died April 6, 2012 at Heritage Health Care of Wilkes in Washington, Georgia.Mrs. Riley was born November 15, 1922 in Tignall, Georgia to the late Annie Ruth Dye Rhodes and the late Samuel Hawes Rhodes. Mrs. Riley was curator of Washington-Wilkes Historical Museum and Robert Toombs Museum, a member of the Episcopal Church of The Mediator, The DAR and Colonial Dames. She is preceded in death by two sons, John Harvey Edwards, II and Mac William Edwards, Jr. and two husbands, Mac William Edwards Sr. and Charles Hebron Riley Sr. one brother, Samuel Hawes Rhodes Jr. and one sister, Jenny Ruth Rhodes Lindsey. She is survived by a daughter in law, Laverne Burdette Edwards, five grandchildren, Shannon Edwards Hall and her husband, Todd, John Harvey Edwards III and his wife, Leslie, George William Edwards and his wife, Jinnie, Ruth Hines Cole and her husband, Edward, and Elizabeth Edwards and one step-son, Charles Hebron Riley, Jr. and eight great grandchildren.Eight brothers and sisters, Jack Rhodes, Francis Marion Rhodes, Peggy R. Callaway, Freddie Rhodes, Charles Rhodes, Olivia R. Norman, Glenn Rhodes and Phyllis R. Drake. Graveside services will be Monday, April 9th at 3:00pm in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Deni Moss officiating.John Edwards, Will Edwards, Edward Cole, Ricky Lindsey, Todd Hall and Charles Rhodes Jr. will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:30 – 2:15pm.
