Joyce Johnson Moore

Joyce Johnson Moore, age 87 a cherished resident of Crawfordville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3rd, 2025 at her residence. Joyce was born in Crawfordville, Georgia to the late Willie Doyle Johnson and Rachel Ree Bridges Johnson . Joyce was known for her kind spirit and generous heart. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jene Ray Moore.

Joyce was a faithful member of Phillips Mill Baptist Church and owned Moore's Office & School Supply on the square in downtown Washington for many years.

Survivors include her three children, Tena Moore of Gainesville, Georgia, Ray Moore and wife Tammy of Crawfordville, Georgia and Ben Moore and wife Monica of Winder, Georgia, four brothers-in-laws, Jimmy Moore and wife Jean of Plum Branch, South Carolina, Jerry Moore of McDonough, Georgia, Larry Moore and wife Margie of Athens, Georgia and Marvin Moore and wife Bobbie of Sharon, Georgia, two sisters-in-laws Delores McCabe of Cumming, Georgia and Connie Moore of Washington, Georgia.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Joyce's life will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Phillips Mill Baptist Church in Washington, Georgia. Rev. Mark Woods will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Armando Secundino, Colonel Bryan Fanning, Braylen Moore, Colby Moore, William Thomas and Tracy Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Rosalino Secundino and Peter Helmreich.

A visitation with family and friends will be held before the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in Joyce's name to Phillips Mill Baptist Church, 5479 Greensboro Road South, Washington, Georgia 30673
