Joseph Harry Collins

Mr. Joseph (Joe) Harry Collins, 78, of Rayle, entered into rest on Monday, November 22, 2021, at the Echols Personal Care Home in Rayle. Mr. Collins was born in Wilkes County, and had lived there for all of his life.He was the son of the late Harry and Renttie Jo Lunceford Collins, and was the widower of Mildred E. Hardy Collins.Joe worked for the Wilkes County School System for a number of years in the maintenance department, and prior to that had worked at Royal Manufacturing Co. for a number of years. He is survived by his two nieces, Melynda Lewis, of Cumming, and Pamela Lewis, of Athens. Graveside services will be 3:00PM on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at the Clark’s Station Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Newsome officiating. The family will have a visitation on Wednesday at Hopkins Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 just prior to the graveside service.
