Joni Lamons Hardin

Joni Lamons Hardin passed away peacefully on August 26, 2020 at Lake Crossing Health Center in Appling.Joni was a native of Wilkes County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Walton Hardin and the late JoAnn Hardin.She was the granddaughter of the late Lena Walton Hardin and the late Henry Grady Hardin.Her maternal grandparents were the late Evelyn Lamons Reynolds and the late Paul I. Reynolds. Joni was an Honor Graduate of Wilkes Academy in Washington, and attended the University of Georgia and Jacksonville University.She lived in Jacksonville, Florida for several years before returning to Washington.Joni was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her brothers, Julian Kenneth Hardin(Gina Holloway) and Walton (Chip) Hardin, Jr., both of Wilkes County.Joni is also survived by cousins Priscilla Callaway, James Roy Smith, Jr., Walter Smith, Judy Hendricks Fersch, Jeff Hendricks, Hill Hendricks, Bob Hendricks, Carla Joiner, Arielle Joiner, Tia McWilliams, Joe Barnett, Jr., and Danny Barnett. Joni is also survived by Richard Fanning, Mamie Fanning, Matt Smith, Easton Harris, Isabella Sanders, and Gracie Sanders, all of whom she loved dearly. Memorial donations may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church.
