Johnny Frank Jackson, age 77, of Washington, passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve.
He was born in Washington to the late Robert Oscar Jackson and Annie Kate Powell Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Jackson; and two sisters, Mary Vandiver and Lillie Crawford.
A true patriot, he proudly served in the United States Navy in Vietnam and spent countless hours at the VFW.
Johnny Frank loved being outdoors and found great enjoyment in hunting and fishing; and in later years, riding his bicycle.
He will be remembered for being a loving father, for having a generous spirit, and for his remarkable storytelling.
Johnny Frank is survived by his son, Barron Jackson (Brenda Lee Jackson) of North Carolina; three sisters, Florence McCorkle (G.C.) of Thomson, Josephine Crawford (Melvin) of Rayle, and Faye Saggus of Lincolnton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Hopkins Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 29, 2023 in the chapel of Hopkins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Washington Wilkes Memorial Gardens with military honors.
