Mr. Johnny Alexander Adams, 71, of Lexington Rd. in Rayle, entered into rest on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at his home. Johnny was born in Washington, Ga., and was the son ofBetty Jean (Peggy)Bonner Echols and of the late Lawrence Oliver Adams.Johnny was retired,had previously worked ininsurance sales and served in the Georgia National Guard. He had lived in Rayle for the past 19 years, and was an avid bass fisherman.Johnny also loved golf and loved watching and rooting for the Atlanta Braves.He was an animal lover, made contributions to our Animal Shelter, and had three cats of his own that he adored. Mr. Adams is survived by his mother, Betty Jean Bonner Echols, of Rayle; a half-brother, William H. (Bill) Remsen, and wife Hope, of Martinez;a niece, Delaney Remsen; two uncles, Arnold Adams and Vernon Adams, both of Washington; and by numerous cousins. Memorial services will be 2:00pm Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Newsome officiating.There will be a visitation on Sunday at Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel for one hour prior to the service (1:00-2:00pm).
