Mrs. Johnnie Lou Mathews Stevens, 82, of Washington, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 in University Hospital.A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late John Lee and Sallie Mae Harrison Mathews.She was retired from textile manufacturing and was a member of Lakeside Bible Chapel.Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Adolphus Stevens, Jr. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 19th in Lakeside Bible Chapel at 3:00pm.Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Vicki Stevens, of Washington; one son and daughter in law, Ricky and Lisa Stevens, of Washington; two sisters, Evelyene (Marvin) Moon, Lexington and Viola Dale, of Douglasville; one sister in law, Sue Davis, of Washington; 2 grandchildren, Leah Stevens and Scott Stevens and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends for one hour before service time.
