John Yochim

Mr. John Eugene Yochim, Jr.,56, of Tignall, passed away July 18, 2014 in St. Mary’s Hospice House in Watkinsville. A native of Erie, Pennsylvania, he was the son of John Eugene and Joan Grugin Yochim.John was proprietor of a Service Station and also of Overall Construction Company.He was of the Baptist faith. Graveside services will be Sunday, July 20th at 2:00pm in Tignall Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Roy Cates officiating. Survivors include his wife of23 years, Nonie Yochim, of Tignall; Mother and Stepfather, Joan and Darwin Bowers, of Tennessee, Father and Stepmother, John and Jan Yochim, of Albion, PA; his 103 year old Maternal Grandmother, Edna Grugin, of Erie, PA; children, Michele McAvoy, of Athens and Phoebe Davis, of Tignall; sister and brother in law, Pat and Ken Marshall, of Erie, PA; brothers and sisters in law, Mike and Linda Yochim, of Florida and Tom and Patty Yochim, of Maryland; grandchildren, Morgan Lawson, of Tignall, Blake Davis, of Tignall, Aubrey Davis, of Tignall and Charlie McAvoy, of Washington; great grandchildren, Madelynand Marlee Davis; 11 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
