John A. Morrow, Jr., Dds

John A. Morrow, Jr., DDS, 89, of Washington, died December 16, 2010.He was a native of Eupora, Mississippi, the son of the late John A. and Bessie Vanlandingham Morrow.Dr. Morrow had lived in the Wilkes County community since 1950 and was retired from dentistry.He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in North Africa and he was a member of Washington First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Stowers Morrow; one son, John A. Morrow, III and his wife, Lynn, of Shenyang, China; three daughters and their husbands, Marsha McCann and Cliff, of Chevy Chase, MD, Nancy Ralston and Kirby, of Omaha, NE, and Claire Stephens and Paul, of Northport, AL; one sister, Elizabeth Cummings, Eupora, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Reid Stephens, Charlie Stephens, Greg McCann, and Jeanna McCann. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00am in Washington First UMC.Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall.
