John Kelly Reed, a beloved resident of Roswell, GA, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on Friday, August 28, 1959, in Washington, GA, John lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and dedication to his family, friends, and community.
Kelly was the cherished son of the late John Henry Reed and Mary Frances Reed. He is survived by his loving aunts, Kaye Lokey of Thomson, GA, and Carolyn Fletcher of Lincolnton, GA, as well as numerous cousins, colleagues, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A proud alumnus of Washington Wilkes High School, Kelly graduated in 1977 before pursuing higher education at Georgia College & State University. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1981, which paved the way for a successful career as a salesman with Lazy-Boy. John's professional life was marked by his dedication and integrity, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Kelly was a member of the Washington Presbyterian Church. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life, and he was known for his generosity and compassion towards others.
A service to celebrate Kelly's life will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Washington Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Glen Kohlhagen officiating. Following the service, Kelly will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery, where he will be reunited with his parents.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hopkins Funeral Home, who are honored to serve the Reed family during this difficult time.
John Kelly Reed will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering faith, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
